Guduchi aka Giloy is a climber of South-Asian origin. Despite the fact that it grows wildly in dry, deciduous forest of countries like India, Sri-Lanka, Myanmar; this immortal vine is domestic also. It throws up its aerial roots and clings onto big trees and electric poles. This attractive and extensively spreading vine is a climber but does not kill the plants or trees it grows on. It combines its properties with the Host plant/tree and serves us with additional health benefits. A giloy creeping on a neem tree is more beneficial than the one growing alone.
One can easily identify the plant by its succulent stem with papery bark, and greenish-yellow flowers. It meets the backyard of almost every household in these regions.
